This contest aims at the kids and teenagers, especially the 8-18 years old (primary and secondary schools, youth science clubs…). The objective remains the same that Eurobot’s one : practicing sciences with fun by hands-on approach, carrying out a long-term, technical project, based on knowledge sharing and team work ; as well as the rules and the specifications. The only difference is about the robot’s control system : while the Eurobot’s robots are programmed, the Eurobot Junior main robots must be wire-controlled (but a team can build a second, programmed robot).

The project has a strong educational value for teachers, who can tackle a lot of technical subjects and concepts (electronics, mechanics, programming…) with their pupils and make them practice sciences in a very didactic and practical way.
