E.1.b. Gate positiion in building area

Question

"A gate must be built within a rectangular area of the wall".
=> Should both the vertical elements have at least one part in the building area or does one count for the whole construct ?

as says in the rules:

"A stone is considered placed in a zone if all or part of its vertical projection is in this zone, or on top of a stone already valid for that zone."

To be valid, all the stone have to be valid in the zone, so the both vertical element have to be in area, and the horizontal one have to be on the two valid vertical element.
