Good morning,

We are preparing for Eurobot 2027 and would like to clarify a few details regarding the rules:

1.Unpowered Actuator Contact at Match End:

If an actuator (e.g., electromagnet, pneumatic suction, or fork) is completely unpowered/depressurized at the 100th second but remains touching or resting under the Grail without pulling away, is the Grail considered "still controlled by an actuator" (0 points)? Is a visible physical gap/clearance strictly required for score validation?

2.Passive Recess & Silicone Pad as "Fixing System":

For Level 4, does a passive shallow recess (lip/bezel) or a high-friction silicone pad that only prevents horizontal sliding—while allowing the Grail to be freely lifted straight up by hand with zero resistance—count as a prohibited "fixing system"?

3.Definition of "Roof":

Does any horizontal surface or platform on the robot located at an elevation above 30 cm qualify as the robot's "roof"?

Thank you in advance for your response, and have a great day.

Good evening

For the Grail at the end of the match, the refere will try to move or remove the Grail from the robot. If he cant, the Grail will be considered as under control by the robot.

The roof of the robot can be any surface, on the robot and above 30cm.

Welcome to Eurobot FAQ, where you can ask questions and receive answers from the referees.

Une question sans politesse (bonjour, merci) ne recevra pas de réponse.

Avant de poser une question

Avez-vous bien lu le règlement ?
En entier ?
Avez-vous vérifié que votre question n'a pas déjà été posée ? (et donc répondue ? )

A question lacking politeness (hello, thank you) will not receive a response.

Before asking a question

Have you read the rules correctly?
In full?
Have you checked that your question has not already been asked? (and therefore answered?)
