In my opinion it is acceptable as long as the movement does not pose any danger to people. Keep in mind that the referees need to count the cherries after the match, so it needs to be safe for them as well. If anything might be unsafe for the points counting but safe for the normal duration of the match, consider deactivating at the end of the match.
Personally I think you can’t expect a referee to shut off your basket before counting the points.
