The 8th edition of EUROBOT will take place from 20-22 May 2005 in the town of Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland. The enormous – and growing – popularity of this event has fuelled its progression from a relatively small-scale championship between four countries in 1998 to a major event bringing together, this year, 3000 young people from universities, engineering schools and scientific clubs from 22 countries across Europe and, indeed, the world.

The Robots05 contests and events, proposed under Science & City, have started yesterday in Yverdon-les-Bains with the astonishing flight of a balloon archestra. Eurobot, robotics contest, will be launch today. The access is free.
10.13.2004 - European Science Week 2004 - EUROBOT
On 9 November at the European Parliament, with Jannez Potocnik, European Commissar for Science and research, prize for the 7th edition of Eurobot are to be awarded.Program: video presentation of the event; awards ceremony; questions to the participants; demonstration matches; 2005 launching. Eurobot 2004: 300 particpants, 250 robots, 20 countries.
09.27.2004 - 2005 Swiss Robotics Days, with Eurobot and Science & City
On Suisse Toy, Robot-CH announced 2005 contest to be welcome in Yverdon-les-Bains under the « Science & City » program, from 19 to 22 of May 2005. Main attraction, the organiser will welcome the famous European robotic cup, Eurobot, a first edition in Switzerland. It will follow the qualification of 3 Swiss teams, which will then represent our country within 20 other nations.
10.01.2004 - Science and Society : Awards ceremony for EUROBOT 2004 winners
On 9 November at the European Parliament, the EUROBOT Awards will illustrate the European Commission’s commitment to supporting initiatives that help young people get involved in science. EUROBOT is a project selected by the European Commission within the European Science Week initiative of the Science and Society Action Plan. The ceremony will celebrate students coming from 20 countries who have built robots.
