Created in 1998, Eurobot is a international amateur robotics contest open to teams of young people, organised either in student projects or in independent clubs.
Eurobot takes place in Europe but also welcomes countries from other continents.

EUROBOT 2009 CONFERENCE

In conjunction with Eurobot robotic contest, the International Conference on Research and Education in Robotics will be held. This Conference aims to gather researchers and developers from academic fields and industries worldwide to explore the state-of-the-art and at the same time to meet with young robot builders who compete in the Eurobot Autonomous Robot Contest.

Conversely, the Conference provides great opportunity for the Eurobot contest participants to meet researchers and top-class scientists and learn from them.

During the Eurobot Conference 2009, two keynote speakers are scheduled. The first keynote speaker is Raja Chatila, Director of the LAAS-CNRS in Toulouse, France. The second invited speaker is Bruno Siciliano, Director of the PRISMA Lab at the University of Naples, Italy, who is also the co-author of the great "Springer Handbook of Robotics".
The teams that participate to Eurobot contest are advised to present their work at the Conference. More information and the attendance conditions are at http://www.eurobot.org/conference.
